New Luxury Fords

Ford is a well known and trusted vehicle manufacturer and they have made quality cars from sports and family to luxury and transit vehicles. The Ford Motor Company have recently announced that they are introducing at least four new products into North America.

The multiple new releases are said to be launching off the platform underpinning the Ford Five Hundred. The group vice president of manufacturing for the Americas released details of the new products during an address to analysts at an automotive conference in Dearborn several months ago.

Two of the new Ford’s were revealed to be sedans, with the other two being part of ‘future unique segments’. This is all of the information which was given about the exciting new releases from Ford, the time of their release was not even disclosed.

Ford is such a successful vehicle manufacturer as they are able to create a number of vehicles with different degrees of style and luxury from a common architecture design which gives them the flexibility to respond to the market needs without forcing them to waste time and money with new developments.

After the success of the Ford Five Hundred release in 2004, which was derived from a Volvo platform and was used to create the Ford Freestyle crossover, Ford is expected to build two more crossovers with Lincoln in 2008. These new vehicles are being called people movers and are said to replace the minivans already in production at Ford.

While new models are always exciting and grab lots of attention, the attention is only important if those same people are the ones buying. With a team like Ford and Lincoln, we can only hope that the new crossovers will have all of the manufacturing brilliance and inspired extras both brands are famous for.
